In which Rat is picky
On a somewhat lighter note today.
Saw a «vegan margarine» yesterday and started wondering – what exactly is this labeling supposed to tell us, apart from the fact the average shopper these days has little idea where the stuff comes from?
Anyway, we might have become a little too picky. When I was a kid and someone found a worm in their apple, people would just say «oh, so it’s been tested and found good».


and when you have a cabbage and it has a live worm in it, it is not been sprayed hard - otherwise the worm would be dead! Mom would complain there was so much vermin on the salad from their garden, but that was an insurance the veggies were safe to eat. Who knows what is on those from the store!
