that is why everyone (except the very rich) like the story of Robin Hood. Wouldn't it be nice if politicians had to deliver proof of their word before they were admitted ! They must be the only employees who do not have to do that.

Soullessness can give a major boost to an otherwise mediocre set of job qualifications. But it works best when it's implied, not boldly and clearly stated upfront. A savvy investor looks for things like that first, before entering any arrangement.

I doubt «passive investing» into politics is even possible, given it's all about selling/pawning the same soul/vote as many times as possible. If they can scam Old Nick, the voter is clearly last in the line.
