Department
In which Rats plan seriously
Good time of day, humans!
We heard you’re going to have Department of Government Efficiency. We need one, too.
…or perhaps call it Department Efficiency Analysis Department (DEAD).
On a more serious note, a long time ago we used to have a very similar thing here in our Eastern European backwoods, under a funny name of Nonsense Prevention Bureau1.
It was formed in 2002 with great fanfare but without clearly delimited responsibilities. As a result, it quickly got drowned in complaints about minor issues such as municipal fence height regulations, and media soon lost interest as they were interested only in major nonsense. Many matters of interest could not be solved because the bureau lacked specific knowledge and therefore were delegated back to ministries and departments; what’s worse, some got «solved» in time-tested bureaucratic manner — by forming new «working groups». Some two years later, under the next government, the bureau was quietly reabsorbed into existing bureaucratic structures. So it goes.
Latvian: Nejēdzību novēršanas birojs

We already have one, it's called The Free Market.
Nonsense Prevention Bureau sounds like winner. They'd be busy :D
