The fact-chokers have done extraordinary work in validating the old misquote, «facts are stupid things». Indeed they are, in the hands and mouths of the fact-chokers.
I seriously suspect they’ll now switch to increasing the supply of «facts». Quite a few NGOs double as both «fact checkers» and «investigative journalists».
Makes sense. That would certainly be consistent with the practices in the rest of the perception management industry. They want, and even need, a self-licking ice cream cone.
