In which Rat suggests a criterion

Human: — Haha, this is a funny one: fake politicians!
Human: — Scammers pretending to be politicians swindled unsuspecting people out of several million dollars.
Rat: — How is that «fake»? Once you’re in the millions, you’re a real politician!
Fake politicians occur surprisingly often, but these stories usually are so embarrassing that they don’t gain much attention. Here’s one of my favorites:

Most fake politicians, however, do not rise to the level of the real ones.
I'm proud to declare that in the USA we have the best criminals money can buy!
You have to work really hard to be *too* cynical about politicians.
