All fraud belongs in the eighth circle of hell, but I’m not sure who goes into the sixth ditch (hypocrites), eighth ditch (fraudulent advice) or tenth ditch (counterfeiters).
I'm so glad I'm retired now and don't work in the software industry any more. I hadn't heard of these ghost jobs but I wouldn't be surprised if they're everywhere in Silicon Valley.

The purpose being? Make-work for HR?
I can see multiple aims, including (but not limited to):
- make company look “growing”,
- acquiring information on the state of the market,
- and yes, make-work, too.
He could go to Virginia, the place is full of gubermint spooks, they've gone full-tilt commie over there.
May those sinister managers be 'ghosted' by rats forever...
