Only tangential: in seventh grade (1967), our grammar textbook had a blue cover and was based on the story of a Venusian visiting Earth and learning English. This delightful little book made me a lifelong grammar fan. I keep meaning to look it up, and find out the details. How many textbooks are actually interesting? How many grammar textbooks can be described as "delightful"? Not many!
