Good time of day, humans!
This week, British Daily Mirror received some well-deserved ridicule over this:
(source); 26°C = approx. 79°F
Rat is slightly confused, too.
In reality, while there certainly are some hot places on this planet, it’s been fairly cold in Europe lately. Here you can check observed temperatures in near real time (keep in mind the timezone difference).
Meanwhile, tourism in Greece is projected to increase another 10% this year over the record of 2023.
Rat, I've been around for a decade or two (to put it nicely). Over the years, I've noticed a trend - some years it's hotter, some it's cooler, some it rains more, some it barely rains, some it is "normal." One thing you can always count on: The weather is NEVER normal. But looking back at it over the decades, the trends look normal from the bigger picture.
for weeks my dad in Belgium is complaining that it is utterly cold there. He is in the northern part, where nights are 8C and days between 12 and 16. That are March temperatures. In the South where it is hilly, the t at night drops to 2C. Here in Southern GA USA we do have heat, but that is totally normal this time of year. Not a heat wave, normal !
