I think of conservativism as being relative. One hews back to the past, but how far back? Progressivism, on the contrary, is a beeline straight to anything new that can be, more or less, while liberalism has become so conceptually muddied that it’s become difficult to define, at least on a global basis.

I’m definitely a conservative. Donald Trump is more of a revolutionary. Progressives can be revolutionary. Revolution, too, is contextual.

I think the essence of conservatism is the notion that we already had the best of all possible worlds at some point in the past and unfortunately marched right on past it. So one can have a lot of different versions of that, including unknown or poorly understood ones, due to the lack of historical record.

I called myself an anarcho-capitalist libertarian Judeo-Christian. According to UK Govn’t this is a dangerous ideology as it’s opposed to their long term plan to implement oligarchical communitarianism.
