It is the way they process claims, not to mention all the fraud needs to be investigated. Lots of criminals commit insurance fraud. In spectacular fashion the same way they commit credit fraud. You have to be trained( should be, this probably isn't going on really anymore at even entry levels anymore and gets into the high backend of the industries) to spot fraud, turn in the fraud, prevent the fraud and that helps keep costs low for people. Money goes out but where does it come from? There's not a way they could yank it out of the ground fast enough.

There appears increasing demand for all the things insurance companies do; not just policy underwriting. I suspect a lot of the hiring reflects the Boomer retirement bulge, especially the fixed income, asset management, life insurance fields.

The boomers retiring from the insurance conglomerates would mean that they'd have to hire the millennials and gen z's, so they'd have to hire many more people to do the same amount, or less, of work.

All Boomers, not just those employed in insurance. For example, the oldest Boomers retired long ago, but their life insurance payouts are now rolling through the system; slightly younger retired Boomers rely on annuities and have increased health insurance needs.

this year, without any claim, my house insurance went up 160 $. I wonder how much people pay that are in flooding zones.

Well for example 2011 marks the transfer of Shadow Tax Farming** from Hospitals via Chargemaster* to Health Insurance ala UHC et al, to pay for Medicare expansion in exchange for record profits: the government Act is Affordable Care Act, ACA which the world calls Obamacare.

*Chargemaster is the Hospital rates for systemically overcharging people who can pay all the way to medical bankruptcy, including $8 per tablet of Aspirin etc etc. This is how The Gringrich Republicans paid for the Greatest Expansion of Healthcare in Human History:

They passed a law that anyone in an Emergency Room in America can’t be refused care. At the same time Clinton signed Medicare Lien property seizures.

At the same time the borders were opened de facto.

Shortly thereafter the illegals began to get free ambulance rides they used as Taxi service, and the bills for Ambulance services even then rose to hundreds of dollars….

…the good news is decent people still predominate America and began to help each other get around these scams…

So thanks for teaching us to Cheat.

You dumb 💩
