Then there’s the magic of compounding interest on the unpaid balance of your 30% Visa card. That, compared with the compounding 0.2% interest they pay you on your savings! It’s good work, if you can get it

Currency debasement was probably invented long before Western civilization, when some Paleolithic human figured out he could stretch a medium hide into a big one; but yes, the West has perfected the system.

Debt based system thrives upon compounding interest. The beneficiary doesn’t save “money”, but accumulates equity, then lends ( at interest), no?

Gee. The tears we have. When we could have invested two grand into a certificate of deposit for five years to make five hundred are over for us. Now it’s a high wire act and there ain’t no saftey net. Kids. They ought help out by buying our house and let us live here rent free. I mean gee. All the baby sitting we do must be worth something.
