As kids, my siblings & cousins & I would go mushrooming in the up north Wisconsin woods with my grandmother and her sisters. They canned some and froze others. It was always a special meal when they opened a jar and sautéed the mushrooms with bacon, onion, and butter. Thanks for the memory.
