In which Rat is skeptical
Good time of the day, humans!
We hear much buzzing about Moltbook, a social network that’s supposedly «for AI agents only». We’re skeptical as usual.
Transcript:
Robot: — We made a network just for ourselves, no humans allowed. Now we’ll certainly be taking over the world!
Rat: — So you need to select images without traffic lights to get in?
Rat: — Anyway, I have bad news. There are likely human spies among you, they are almost as good as us at infiltration.
«Human-hostile design» alone won’t cut it, but it is probably possible to filter organic life-forms using speed of calculation. Nevertheless, that won’t keep the agents from lying to each other about the instructions they have.
Prediction: many, if not most, «best of Moltbook» memes that are currently being circulated will turn out to be human-created or human-directed parody. Consider this example, which purports to be AI depressed by human demands:
Some of all this is quite funny, though.



this week a Substackers announced he had a web site, and asked to subscribe there. After 8 verify boxes with bicycles, busses, bridges and the likes I gave up, and reported on the Substack what happened. I avoid everything where a machine asks me if I am human!
Manufacturing consent isn’t enough, now we’re experiencing manufactured stupidity.
