Even now, we have the eighth day of the week: Nextuesday… (that’s the promised delivery day during supply chain breakdown)

It's also the standing day to pay for that hamburger we received today.

Whatever… Rat still has the wisest wisdom! Why should we believe what’s in the diary? What’s written anywhere anymore?

All has to be taken with at least one grain of that pink salt one sees in online ads everywhere as an essential ingredient for losing weight “naturally”!

Leap year could explain the discrepancy.

There was an episode quite early in the story where Robinson fell ill and wasn’t sure how long he had slept.

Stranded on Island Sept. 1659. Following year 1660 was a leap year.

As you know, Rat, chronological correctionism is one of my favorite topics. And I don't know anyone claiming the whole first millennium was made up, but adding 700 yrs by placing the history of different places end-to-end rather than side-by-side has some solid logic to it. Did China stand still for 500 yrs, with no advancements?

And the pope who decided the year 1000 had a nice ring to it for his reign, and told his scribes to invent the rest, that's pretty plausible, especially for a dating system that starts with the birth of a fictitious character. Eh?

The minor discrepancy can be traced back to Juneteenth.

For what reason? That freedom news was delayed? I hope that's what you meant.
