A repressed economy does indeed confer some advantage on small baseboard-level players who can scurry around below radar. The advantage to big politically connected guys with armies of lawyers is probably bigger, however.
…and all new taxes and regulation hurt the middle the most.

Gov't doesn't "print money", it's a digital illusion backed by nothing. So when same Gov't spends billions on war, it is done by adding more digits. So ask yourself this; why do they need to steal money from us unconnected folk, why don't they just add more 0's and 1's?
