Excerpt from the Weather Almanac of Tennessee, for year 1947. Quote from the section titled "forgettable inventions that we will pretend were never invented":

"Thirty-two year old doctor Bernard Vonnegut, from Indianapolis, has invented a method to cause clouds to rain. Using a new chemical compound called AgI, an acronym that means not Artificial General Intelligence, the Hoosier chemist seeded clouds over upstate New York using unmanned military aircraft equipped with devices that dumped the nucleating agent over a type of cloud called altostratus, that forms at an altitude of about 20,000 ft. This caused the formation of nimbostratus clouds, which blessed the land with unusual rains, and a jelly like type of water never before seen or felt. The schizophrenics of upstate New York towns and villages who saw first the new prodigy of science began to complain and claimed that it was an attack by Communist infiltrators in Government. Vonnegut explained that water vapor has amnesia of form, and using the right drug he could nudge the water vapor to remember that it could become liquid and fall to the earth."
