Pearl Harbor Moment
In which Rat faces it
Rat would normally refrain from commenting on wars and other tragic events. But there’s still one often repeated phrase that really hurts his sensitive ear.
Advance knowledge of Pearl Harbor is of course being labeled as a «conspiracy theory»; but that labeling is based on a false dichotomy of «no knowledge» vs. «perfect knowledge», of which neither can be true. Rather, the question to ask is «how much did they know?» – and the answer is quite likely «enough».
Mathew Crawford suggests not everyone uses this phrase the same way though:
…to which Rat sort of agrees.

Excellent nuanced post, Rat!
