I've been saying for a decade: we should put pharmacologists in charge of running the economy, economists in charge of psychotherapy, and psychotherapists in charge of pharmacology.

The three most malignant forces in society would cancel one another out, and from the ensuing chaos would emerge a power vacuum that would force people to be realistic about resources and expectations.

I'm always reading the news as if it was a comic book, 'cuz News is much healthier that way.

“The administration could take equity stakes in more companies”. This is the punch line in the story. Big industry and government collusion and conspiracy to manipulate prices. The definition of fascism contains this dynamic. Nothing new here btw, treasury has been at it, propping up the market with the plunge protection team forever.
