In which Rat finds it somewhat justified

Human: — They raised the salaries of government ministers again.
Human: — It’s as if their job was becoming harder by the year.
Rat: — Of course it is! So many stupid ideas have already been invented, it’s getting harder and harder to come up with a new one!
Rat sympathizing with government officials might seem strange, but we often have the same problem — and, just like officials, we somehow manage to scrape by and invent something stupid not seen before.
The Peter Principe is alive and well as mid-wit functionaries continue to succeed by failing at their job and falling upwards.
Rat’s point of view is understandable but lost in the translation is, “ You can’t fix stupid.”
