If this effort tires our intrepid rodents, maybe they need to eat their veggies - YIKES!

I first tuned in to these adventures this week, so I have no idea where this cart is going or why it is so heavily laden. I'm looking forward to having the mysteries gradually unveiled.

This journey will come to an end soon; but I hope to overcome my laziness and release all the episodes in a PDF.

Meanwhile, earlier episodes can be found here: https://ratsays.substack.com/t/rats-travels (not very handy as Substack's category/tag functionality is pretty basic, but it is what it is)

Great! I'm all caught up now.

The episode about taxing rain isn't too far from reality. In Colorado it used to be illegal to collect rainwater. They've relaxed things a little; now you need a permit, and there's a limit on how much you can collect.

The idea of rain tax comes, together with the whole notion of a vegetable country, from Le avventure di Cipollino, a 1951 children’s book by the Italian communist Gianni Rodari. In his story, however, Lord Tomato was the bad guy, and Gramps Pumpkin was the good guy.

Thanks for reminding me. ☮️☦️

I always found that very disturbing during my many years in CO.

It will be interesting to see the ultimate disposition of Rat's groceries.

It’s near! Possibly as little as two weeks away, unless we wander off into another digression.

The grand finale will probably be somewhat anti-climactic, though.

Never have fewer ideas.
