We rats aren’t good at drawing (lack of opposable thumbs, mind you), but that doesn’t keep us from trying.
I wonder why.
To be fair, pieces of modern art have been at the receiving end of vandalism:

Soup-throwing however seems to target only da Vinci, van Gogh and Monet.
The soup-tossers are going for shock value. No one would notice if they tossed soup on, e.g. duct-taped bananas. Everyone would assume it's part of the exhibit.
Hmmm, Mr. Rat. What a capital idea, maybe I could exhibit my 118 year old house as 'art' and suggest they throw paint?
