I'm going to eat a piece of cheese in recognition of the Great Rat in the Sky's wisdom.

Heh. The doctrine of «rational ignorance» says that the cost of obtaining some information may exceed the value of that information, hence some things just aren't worth figuring out. The problem with this view is that usually neither the cost nor value are accurately known beforehand, creating the meta-issue of «is it worth it to figure out the cost of figuring out?».

If someone got all this sorted, that'd be wisdom indeed.

Does that include the opportunity cost of the attempt? I shudder to think of the chances for cheese that might be missed...

It’s comforting to know that the Great Rat in the Sky can be as perplexed as I.

I felt this; my car has nothing but problems and I can't be arsed to figure out how to fix them anymore. Hopefully I'll be able to get rid of it before I bring my new work van home.

Some rats would wake up at 2:15 in the morning with this puzzle stuck in their mind keeping the sleep door ajar.

Hard to find a car blasting Floyd, that's for sure.
