Temporary
In which Human remains optimistic
Good time of the day, humans!
Our Human fell sick yesterday, but is already fine again.
Transcript:
Human: — Don’t worry, Rats, it’s just a temporary illness.
Rat: — But they say there’s nothing more permanent than a temporary state of affairs.
Human: — Well, yes, that tends to happen if you involve government in your problems.
On a side note, the saying about temporary and permanent is yet another phrase that libertarian lore tends to credit to Milton Friedman. Yet I’m quite certain that it was well known throughout Eastern Europe well before anyone had even heard about Friedman there. As far as I can tell, it might originally be a Greek proverb.

Hopefully Human is not on a government health plan i.e. Canada, UK, if he was, whatever is ailing him could end up being terminal.
[edit] It's good to see you are okay and not in some off-shore detainment center!
As far as attribution to a phrase the one that confounds me the most and is least applied, “ Common Sense “. It had to be uttered by a Rat speaking to his Cousin long before 1776.
