The funniest thing about TV guy comedians is that they're not in any way funny—until they get fired. *Then* they're funny, but not by their own intention. They're so nasty and self-righteous that any mishap has some entertainment value.
KImmel and Colbert had themselves a grand old time dehumanising Covid sceptics. By their own standards, they deserve much worse than losing a gig. But that's not why they got canned. The reality is their ratings suck and have sucked for quite some time. They were kept on anyway for vindictive purposes, because they were eager to encourage cruel treatment of anyone not in lockstep with their moral panic. And now they're not useful anymore. It's possible they were *also* fired opportunistically, but that is the nature of showbiz. There's always a political aspect embedded in it, and it's always potentially ugly.
Kimmel managed to annoy a guy on the other side of the world who doesn’t even watch TV — isn’t it a feat?
My pet peeve with him is the recurrent episode where they catch random people in the street and ridicule their geography knowledge; for years, they’ve been using the same map, which conspicuously has an extra country where the Caspian sea should be.
That reminds me of the NY Times and its fatuous invention of Kyrzbekistan. These smart alecks tend to be every bit as hapless and ignorant as the people they select for ridicule. Perhaps more so. The poor dude on the street doesn't pretend to be an authority.

So, true.

It’s even more outrageous when you consider that, in media, nothing is supposed to go into print without ~four people taking a good look at it.
In this instance, those four people REALLY need to be made to sit in a corner facing the wall with dunce caps on their heads.
I didn't understand them having ratings at all. They were never funny.
They claim reducing carbon is the goal, but they keep making carbon copies of each other. Funny that.
LOL Rat is wise, and never lies...
When will I look stupid?
