The Void has an AI chatbot that would be happy to listen to your complaints and then suggest, "Have you tried turning The Void off and then on again?"

Where do I complain to Substack for &%$*ing up the list of people I follow by turning it into infuriating buttons? I want to protest this unilateral enshitification!

Did they mutilate the app again? The browser version is still more or less usable, after using adblock on some elements though.

Browser. There used to be a list of what was "up next" for the accounts I subscribe to, but now all I can see are buttons that have red dot on the ones that I've not opened. I HATE IT!

hmm.

I cannot quite reproduce this, but then, the most narrow window I can make on my desktop is about 500 pixels

Okay, back at office, different browser without adblock same irritating and massively inconvenient results - a list of 'best shills,' I mean 'sellers' who's slop I will never, ever read and above that a group of icons with the subscription profile in a seemingly random order. I'm hot pissed over this idiotic move, they could have at least kept the order in which I was reading, but no $%%^&*ing way! This is what you get when midwits run things.

I’m genuinely puzzled as to where you see all this. For me:

https://substack.com/ = notes

https://substack.com/inbox = my subscriptions, in chronological order

https://substack.com/activity = notifications, etc.

I however used adblock to kill of the whole right column, but that happened quite some time ago.

Right column, my friend. Using Brave I will block elements, the 'up next' column on the right is to what I speak, but since you eschew that, I guess the point is moot.

I take it that is not the case for you? I'll try again with other browsers and settings when I get back in my office.

I get substack articles through e-mail. No substack BS. No dealing with Substack itself. Read too much about how much they suck.

I do a lot of posts and interactions with subs, so I keep it all open. But, hey, if that floats your bacon...

Might as well accept that my complaints have been ignored,

I too have been disappointed by voids.
