In which Rat won't comply
Good time of day, humans!
Reports are coming in that the bird flu scare is reaching previously unseen levels of stupidity:

Rat for one will not comply.
Obviously, even Polly can sometimes say something smart for a change.
No, seriously. Barring a totalitarian clampdown with National Guard and stuff, they won’t take down all bird feeders, so the crowds at the remaining ones will increase. Also, I’m yet to see any evidence of there being a virus spread among wild birds beyond artefacts of increased testing.
Fortunately, we have among us dangerrous ungoverrnable extrremists like Kent Peterson who install new bird feeders:
UPDATE: there has been no independent confirmation of the background story yet. It might be based on someone's off-hand remark, or even a rumor. Official warnings have been issued only over raw milk so far.
Waiting for the story to be «debunked» so we know it's true. :)
We've been training the crows and seagulls to attack "The Man" if he ever tries to come for our feeders. I didn't watch that Alfred Hitchcock movie just for its entertainment value.
