UPDATE: there has been no independent confirmation of the background story yet. It might be based on someone's off-hand remark, or even a rumor. Official warnings have been issued only over raw milk so far.
Waiting for the story to be «debunked» so we know it's true. :)
UPDATE to the update: the original tweet has now been community-noted. Also, «experts» have benevolently promulgated that «it's OK to leave up bird feeders»:
Officialdom treats raw milk like it's pure poison. No mention of the 10,000 years of dairy production before pasteurization was a thing. It's a wonder the human race survived at all.
We've been training the crows and seagulls to attack "The Man" if he ever tries to come for our feeders. I didn't watch that Alfred Hitchcock movie just for its entertainment value.
Every time I feed the birds I wonder when the psychos are going to start attacking or telling people stop feeding them or the stores are going to stop selling or put yellow tape around the area so people can’t buy it. I did notice for couple days one of my neighbors has empty feeders I won’t be surprised if she is panicking already. Me … we feed everything 😬 I just set a piece of apple for a baby rabbit.
just read yesterday that bird flu is about the same dangerous thing as wuflu. The birds that will die, will die, and all the rest is blissfully unaware and lives on as usual. And we feed the birds as usual, too. Just watching as the first batch is eating. Chickadee, redbird, soon the woodpecker will show up, and then doves and jays. And then come the squirrels! the rats feathery species LOL
I don't think that these people understand how ignorant that sounds. It's beyond belief that someone even thinks that way. As if birds can't fly around and congregate wherever they want.
I wonder about the migratory paths of the birds they "claim" are carrying the bird flu. Wouldn't that be one of the first things that is discussed. Not simply testing everywhere to see if we can find the magic protein.
That is, if you even consider this current scare to be real, other than some test which claims it is. You know, like the PCR test, which showed false positives at a rate that negated the entire purpose of testing.
Hype to get people to be afraid of animals, afraid to eat their meat, eggs, milk and as an excuse to kill lots of animals and create food shortages. The PTB will then say bugs and soybeans are our saving grace! 🤮
Yeah, the "powers that be" are all about having *other* people eat bugs.
It will be interesting to see how many farmers actually push back. Because the farmers are going to know that this is all nonsense.
That's probably why they went after that one guy that was selling organic foods from his farm. Amos Miller in PA. I'm assuming that they want farmers scared that the FEDs are going to shut down their farms if they don't comply with orders to destroy their livestock.
Our resident robin trills at our kitchen window if the food and water runs out. He is a little sergeant major around here. If the magpies, crows and pigeons won't argue with him, who am I to disobey?
That’s how my chickens get fed. I eat their eggs too. And touch my chickens, they have very soft feathers! Speaking of, Hope I have ruffled anyone’s feathers with my disclosures. 🐓

The very wording of this suggests that taking them down was considered.

Geez, I beat the odds! I’m still alive!
Me too. I get raw goat milk from a neighbor.

I had no idea it was a training film(?!).
“Nevermore”, said the raven

Rats themselves are fairly good at this, too: https://www.bbc.com/news/av/uk-england-norfolk-57826515
Amazing ! never seen a rat do this ! thank you, going to fwd to some friends
You can have my feeder when you pry it off my cold, dead branch!
Long live Rat, Polly, and Kent (who I also read)!
Leave the beautiful birds alone!!! Leave us the hell alone
Make them stay six feet apart for no reason at all.
It's mass hypochondria. Our society has been taken over by fretful mothers with recipes for chicken soup waiting to be reciped.
Australia has been turned into a giant litter box ruled by eCat ladies.
Thank you, Rat. This was excellent and cheered me greatly.
Edit: never forget when the UK considered killing all pet cats 'to stop the spread' https://time.com/6259763/uk-considered-killing-cats-pandemic/
I wonder if it happened before or after the «zombie mink» incident…

What we all need to do is COMPLETELY ignore any ‘bird flu’ stuff. All of it. I think that would be fun.
"We must stop the birds from congregating!?"

Should I provide beak sanitizer?
