Seeing a how a fly is attracted to excrement, the stench will only attract more.
If what's covered isn't enough, the bad copy and editing should do the trick.
Spray it with some Windex (or generic equivalent) until it can't fly, then smash it. Especially useful when it lands on something that can't take a lot of physical force of a swat, such as a pane of glass.
Bonus side effect: clean window!
