I think it's a great idea to name a street after Rat.

Rat Street. Rodent Avenue. Raton Blvd. Rat Cousin Freeway Dos Rats Drive Rodent Crescent... the possibilities are endless.

I don’t suppose we’ll ever see a street named after you Rat, and that’s a shame.

there is a Boca Raton in Florida !

Technically though, 'ratón' is a mouse, and rat is 'rata'.

Haha, you would think a raton is larger than a rata. It would be in Italian LOL. And here in GA they use rat and mouse interchangeable, very confusing.

Yes, dictionaries often note this is unusual: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/rat%C3%B3n#Usage_notes

Many languages do not quite distinguish between rats and mice – Swahili, Japanese, etc.; even Classical Latin didn't (they only knew 'mus maior', 'rattus' is a Medieval neologism) but Romans can be forgiven as rats only arrived around the turn of the era.

I'm glad I found your publication. A funny tidbit. About a year ago, I started writing about the relationship between a guy and his rescue cat in satire mode. So far, they're 5 episodes. Reason why people like it's bc the kitten always wins every argument using cat logic.

There’s no escape, cat logic always wins (3 cats here 😹)

Ahh, they got you too, eh? 😂

Joyce's avatar

Oh yes, they certainly did 😹

But all 3 are rescues, 2 of them special needs, I happily forgive them 😻

I already twisted my ancle twice on what I live on - it is supposed to be a street, but it is more rubble and rocks
