Tomorrow
In which Rat asks rhetorical questions again
Good time of day, humans!
We happened to read another optimistic economy report on how consumer spending was still going strong. I’m not even linking it – you can find them all over the mainstream (and some not so mainstream media).
Rat however has questions (as usually).

Of course we are spending like crazy ! We now spend more than double the amount of money for the same products as 3 years ago.
Fear makes people buy stuff to make themselves feel better....
and the prices have sky- rocketed, wich, if they do it right is no surprise. A burger, fries and a soda for $3-4 id just not feasable when done right and without a ton of chemicals..
I'm not sure where this thinking of "wanting everything for nothing" came from but good things like food and beverages if done right, will have a price, there just is no way around that.
China- shit is so cheap because they enslave children and so forth..
it has led to a society of wastefulness and unappreciation.
We have lost touch with reality, there are kids that do not know that milk comes from cows, they have no clue what it takes to take proper care of an animal or the cost.
Talk about cheese... Parmiggiano Reggiano takes years to make and ripen, it is an art and if you find it for a dollar ninety- nine it is compromised in one way or another.
We need to re- think our consumerism and get back to reality and the basics.
